Rio Grande do Sul – Saint Andrews

Few kilometers through landscapes of the Serra Gaucha until arriving at the hotel are enough to understand that this is a place full of surprises

Rio Grande do Sul – Saint Andrews

If lodging in a castle presupposes treatments worthy of royalty, the Saint Andrews hotel in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, perfectly follows every precept. Located in a region surrounded by araucaria trees and a privileged view of the Quilombo Valley, the hotel has established a new level of refinement, becoming the first six star resort in Brazil, as well as a member of the exclusive Relais & Châteaux hotel chain. With inspiration in European castles, Saint Andrews is a place of full sophistication, adorned with Czech chandeliers, Italian marble and classic wooden furniture, as well as an exclusive fragrance that flows through the hotel’s surroundings.

Owner of only 19 suites, – divided into Ala Castle with 11 units, and Ala Mountain with 8 apartments – the hotel bets on luxurious experiences in all phases of accommodation, so the suites are true havens of glamor, such as the Diamond Suite, where an exclusive butler remains available. In its internal structure, Saint Andrews’ largest suite holds two separate bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a spa tub overlooking the valley, a king size bed with 1000 thread count sheets, a home-theater room and a mac mini, plus two balconies with magnificent landscapes. The Amber Suite, on the other hand, is more compact, but maintains the glamorous atmosphere, with emphasis on the two balconies and the architectural lines.

In an environment characterized by unique features, the Primrose restaurant could not be different, in this way composed of only five tables, the place relies on the combination of modern tones – brown and pink – to offer an intimate space where classic French cuisine reigns supreme . Guests can order from the personalized menus and enjoy dishes based on organic ingredients under the light of individual Czech crystal chandeliers. The harmony is complemented by the wine list selected by the hotel’s sommelier. The quality of Primrose’s creations plus the spectacular setting of the Saint Andrews inspires a cinematic wedding schedule for up to 150 people, where six Crystal Maria Tereza chandeliers stand out, and the Mirante Mountain that lifts the bride and groom above the Gaucho valley.

In the social areas, guests have access to terraces and gardens, free bicycle service, indoor swimming pools, trails, spa with classic treatments and wellness center, solarium, gym and sauna. In the center of Gramado, guests can enjoy gastronomic options or travel to neighboring Bento Gonçalves to navigate the news of the main wineries in Brazil, such as Casa Valduga and Salton.
